A quick combination of thoughts or learned things from this term.

1

When you are stuck with the ideas, push to the extreme to get ideas. Or think about it in the future context - forget about the limitations and go crazy.

2

Do not think about abstract things directly. Go from real things to abstract things - do a coding of the real assets - think about digital things later. A digital kitchen does not exist but a digital recipe does.

3

To get into micro, for example, in our project, we can pay attention to where people sat, and people cannot actually cooking together, maybe notice how people gather around the chef and etc. Pay more attention to the details and micro things.

Thinking about tribes is another way for narrowing down and getting out while stuck.

To specify the design, think about examples, who, what, when.

4

Presenting ideas to companies is more like selling out the ideas than presenting the ideas. This is the advantage, this is how we can use our ideas differently, and this is why we think it can work very well. (tell little stories, people involved, what are their motivations, go back to the research to validate it)

5

Ways to make a service tangible: think about the stages happened in the cooking, like whether to keep the photos, where to find the space to cook and what you want to share with others. Then it would become really rich and we could do much specifically.

6

A helpful method for team brainstorming introduced by Johnny - first doing a ten-minute brainstorming, then sharing ideas one by one, finally rotating the sheet and brainstorming again building up on another one's ideas.

7

About focus on technical part: I was easily stuck with details but left out the whole thing. I should remember to think about the ultimate goal instead of being stuck with the ongoing tasks, which are less important when compared to the final outcome.

8

About forgetting about "value" part of the brief but doing the "exchange": I found that It is often the case, especially for a group, that we tend to forget about some key points in the brief during the long design journey; We need to remind ourselves from time to time to keep on the road.
